You do not have to be an active sportsman or woman to enjoy the delights of our beautiful beach. It is one of the most visited beaches in vollyballNorthumberland and yet no matter what time of year you happen to find yourself walking on it's sands, there appears to be miles and miles of empty space!

David White and childrenDavid White, shown here on the left with two of his children Lucy and Andrew, has been visiting Beadnell for over 17 years. He has a caravan on Beadnell Links in which he spends as much time as possible with his wife Karen and his young family. He actually lives in Whickham just outside of Newcastle. Asked why he liked Beadnell he replied, " The beach is the perfect place to bring the kids. It's clean and safe for them go paddling and just a great place to be. I love it here, the area has everything you need. It's really peaceful and yet you do not have far to travel for a night out. Quite honestly I would like to move up here permanently as I cannot think of a better place to live".

Beadnell beach has miles of golden sands and stunning dunes for all of the family to explore. It's also adog walking great place to walk your dog and many people do. But please help us keep the beach and dunes clean. Be a responsible dog owner and clean up after it.

clean beachesThe views from the beach over to Dunstanburgh are magnificent on a clear day the ruined castle can be clearly seen through the sea spray. For those of you who enjoy a good walk, Beadnell beach and bay extends all the way to our neighbouring village of Newton. As well as enjoying the views on your walk you will be able to spot a wide variety of bird life on the shore and in the dunes. The area is also well know for it's nesting grounds for many species of seabirds.
