Following the incorporation of the above Private Limited Company to administer the funds of the 'Harbour In Trouble' appeal, the Directors have identified and prioritised four initial projects:

The installation of an automatic security barrier to not only protect the working environment of the harbour fishermen by preventing unauthorised vehicular access, but to act as a traffic calming measure on the harbour approach. This is now in place.
The erection of a welcome board to replace the old wooden sign dislodged by storms. This in now in place.
The completion of the concrete decking of the harbour and the creation of access steps down to the beach. This was carried out in June 2002.
The commission of a 'Roll Of Honour' plaque to commemorate those worldwide who donated to the 'Harbour In Trouble' appeal. This by its very nature is a time consuming task, as every detail of names, dedications, dates etc has to be checked thoroughly to ensure complete accuracy. This will be erected A.S.A.P.

Additionally to these projects other external funds were identified. As a result a comprehensive 'Village Plan' document has been produced together with the ongoing construction of an informative Beadnell Community Website - www.beadnell.org - here donors and visitors alike will be able to follow progress of the above, obtain information about activity groups within the village, look for local services and events and be able to communicate with each other via a guest book.
