FLOWER POWER

A group of enthusiastic Beadnell villagers, assisted by Guides from the 1st Embleton Guide Company, spent Saturday mornings in October, in weather conditions varying from warm sunshine to gale force winds and driving hail, planting 13,000 mixed spring bulbs. This was in addition to the thousands of crocuses which were planted last year to commemorate the Golden Jubilee.
This was made possible by a grant from the Northumberland County Council Berwick Area Committee. This was much appreciated by the village and we look forward to the spring and seeing the bulbs in bloom which will be enjoyed, both by the village and visitors alike.
